The
most popular natural method for clearing skin is fasting or
cleansing protocols. Whilst this may be effective for many people, it
does have a well known rather important drawback...
Fasting
to cleanse the internal organs, done in the long term is a good
strategy for optimum health and clear skin, yet suffers the problem of
being difficult and requiring high amounts of dedication to do it
right, or else not get results.
Most
people do a simple 3-10 day fast, and this can have a helpful cleansing
effect on the body. Yet doing this once or twice is unlikely
to
permanently resolve acne. To resolve acne by cleansing one needs to
adopt a longer term strategy, and vigorously stick to it.
One
very popular cleansing protocol is the master cleanse . This involves
drinking a lot of lemon water and nothing much else for about 10 days.
The results are very impressive for even severe acne. But the acne is
likely to come back at some point after the cleanse, whether it be a
couple of days, or a few weeks.
There
are many other very good cleansing protocols available, but before
diving
into this type of holistic lifestyle, I would urge anyone
suffering from really severe and stubborn acne to first follow
the
information inside my book, which requires less dedication and is many
times easier to implement into one's daily life, (not to mention that
it shows you how to effectively handle the root cause of acne).
But
if
you get into cleansing you'll soon have to make some hard decisions
about how you live your life if you really want to get the most out of
it. I have the highest respect for those who recommend and advise acne
sufferers to cleanse, but feel that for most people who
get acne - teenagers and young adults - it is perhaps too high in
difficulty to succeed with it.
My
advice to anyone seriously considering cleansing is to go for it, but
have the realistic expectation that it is difficult and that one should
be determined to do it properly with all the sacrifice that is
typically necessary.
If
this isn't the way you want to go, then there are alternatives, and my
book is something you should seriously consider finding out more
about.
